What is this about?

If you recently received a letter or an email from Delta Children informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach involving its vendor, Cleo Communications, LLC ("Cleo"), you may be entitled to compensation. Delta Children recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

Delta Children recently became aware of a security incident related to a vulnerability in a third-party vendor’s secure file transfer software. The vulnerable application exploited in the attack, is a Cleo file transfer tool. A third-party vendor’s secure file transfer software used by Delta Children and numerous other organizations had an unknown vulnerability. In October 2024, an unauthorized actor began exploiting this unknown vulnerability in the third-party software, allowing them to gain access to a limited portion of Delta Children’s systems and obtain copies of files from those systems. Delta Children learned that an unauthorized actor had potentially accessed some of its data. Delta Children conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. While Delta Children has not yet started sending formal notification letters, it is expected to do so soon.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:

• Name,
• Financial account number, and
• Driver’s license number
