Between March 30, 2026 and April 1, 2026, the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council (FRCC) experienced a security incident in which an unauthorized party copied files from FRCC’s computer systems. FRCC reported that it secured its network and restored systems from backups. FRCC also conducted a review to determine what information was involved and to identify impacted individuals. FRCC publicly disclosed the incident on May 15, 2026 and began notifying affected individuals. Based on the available information, at least 832 individuals were impacted, including at least 831 Texas residents and one New Hampshire resident. FRCC is also offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services to affected individuals.
