If you recently received a letter or an email from Pennsylvania State Education Association (“PSEA”) informing you that your sensitive personal and protected health information was compromised in a data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. PSEA recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal and protected health information.

On July 6, 2024, Pennsylvania State Education Association) became aware of a security incident that impacted its network environment. Upon detection, PSEA launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to certain files within PSEA’s network. PSEA conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On February 18, 2025, PSEA completed its review and determined that some personal information belonging to individuals was included in the impacted data. On March 18, 2025, PSEA filed a notice with Maine Attorney General’s office and started sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals.

  • Driver’s License or State ID,
  • Social Security Number,
  • Account Number,
  • Account PIN,
  • Security Code,
  • Password and Routing Number,
  • Payment Card Number,
  • Payment Card PIN,
  • Payment Card Expiration Date,
  • Passport Number,
  • Taxpayer ID Number,
  • Username and Password,
  • Health Insurance Information, and
  • Medical Information
